It was in February of 2014 when I got hospitalized not knowing I was already inside the emergency room.
The
doctor to our hometown wanted me to go and consult with EENT
specialist. So I went to manila which is 2 hours away where I came from.
then got to the hospital and filled out the form that was given to me
on the front desk.
I was walking down the
aisle when suddenly I black out and my vision was turning upside down
but before I fell to the ground the security guard catch me. They sat me
on a wheelchair and put me in a room where a resident doctor keep
asking too many question while I was vomiting a lot in a pan they gave
me.
Then I said, “Hindi ko na po kaya. Pls Hindi ko na po kaya”
(translation: “I can take it anymore. Please I can’t take it anymore”)
Then
the resident doctor now put me in emergency room. There were nurses who
keep working on me. They started to put an IV on me but was unsuccesful
because they couldn’t find my veins or bloodstream coz they said it was
too thin and very hidden. At this point I can feel the pain of the
syringe for searching my veins.. they were very desperate. I was like I
wanted to cry from pain but I just “ouch” coz I don’t have any strength.
When
they found out my bloodstream they started collecting my blood samples
but still unsuccessful. there were three nurses who tried to collect
sample. My arm started to bruise. So they called the doctor but all the
nurses left.
when the doctor was trying to
find my vein she saw my arm that has many holes because of the syringe
and it has bruises. She ask me who the hell did those things to me and I
said it was one of their nurses. She angrily looked for the nurse. I
couldn’t describe her face because my vision was still blurred back
then. I was talking to her while my eyes were closed.
So
she started to collect my blood and was surprised because it was so
thick or very viscous. I was still vomiting and I think I vomit for 15
times already. So she started to shout and said please give me an IV.
She said I was dehydrated.
My siblings now
arrived in the hospital because I was the only one who went in that
hospital. My relatives wanted me to transfer to a better hospital which
is a hospital for high ranking officials of NBI or FBI. but the hospital
refused because I was in worst condition..
So
now the staff take good care of me. I just slept for hours. but still i
feel nauseous. I started to feel bloated because of the IV.
I
was just irritated because there were many intern nurses who keep
asking me about my condition.. so I just said please stop questioning me
coz I’m not feeling well.
I ate good food that my sibling brought for me. and started feeling well.
It took two days.
The
scariest part was that the doctor said to me “You were lucky because
someone catch you before you fell to the ground because if that didn’t
happen then maybe you already dead by bumping your head to the ground”
I learned that I have a vertigo..
